Weekend-Wear IV: Models + Slouchy Cool
I ran across the street to take their photo but then froze and decided not to because one girl was wearing sweatpants (even though I’m sure they’re Alexander Wang or something).  I wish I had trusted my instinct because I love how slouchy cool and downtown the girl on the right’s outfit is! I love how she wears her scarf. I know that it’s obviously easy for a tall, thin model to wear even the ugliest clothes look good but I love everything except about these two for the sweatpants (and I didn’t even notice them at first so, what? I don’t mind really. They’re just comfortable and cotton! It’s the weekend. Fashion is about being yourself and doing whatever you want! Bada*ss!). I do like taking candids of people that - it makes it more about their pose and natural habitat than whether they are a pretty girl or not - but of course I still like to show off the person. I guess I am working on balancing portraiture and fashion photographs. I have been taking a lot of pre-emptive decisions lately. I try not to regret anything but I want to edit a little less on the street and just shoot and then edit. I come from a traditional film background but I’m going a little too crazy with making decisions while I shoot. Next time. I just know these models are at Wilhelmina.
