I shot 11-year-old designer artist/illustrator/designer Melissa “Missy” Aiello last weekend in Fort Greene. We went to the Brooklyn Flea, where Missy showed me some of her favorite designers (Mama Can’t Sing- rings with Scrabble letters on them, etc), ate lunch at Kif, and then had some fun at the park nearby! Missy is very talented and has been featured/will be featured in Hunger Magazine, Rollacoaster Magazine/TV, and more. Karl Lagerfeld has one of her bags! She enjoys drawing and loves Anna Wintour. She sells t-shirts and tote bags here of her favorite fashion icons. We talked about how difficult it is to draw Donatella Versace! Can’t wait to see more from this girl. She knows way more than me when I was her age! http://www.teesbymissyx.com/

Congratulations! xx
German is a fashion concept designer. I caught him on Broadway in Noho waiting for a friend. He embodies the common contemporary New York downtown/artist/fashion chic look. All black but attention to silhouettes… and always easy to throw on.
He is wearing: Prada Shoes, Balenciaga Bag, Balenciaga Jacket, and Gucci Shirt (I might have mixed the last two up).
Was great talking to him!
Bumped into Artist Horst Weber today at Porto Rico Coffee in the East Village. He was carrying a beautiful Valextra Premier briefcase and wearing a great tie from Madison Avenue. He lives uptown but comes down to Porto Rico Coffee and loads up (he bought $100 worth of beans!) because their coffee is the strongest for him! Horst is originally from Germany and has studied and worked with Beuys, Dali, and Warhol. Danke Horst!
Always good to bump into @DandyWellington after @TheSmithNYC #streetstyle
