The day after my birthday has always meant one thing to me — the winding down of summer. It’s been a hectic, crazy summer too, one that I started off with a new job and along the way got LASIK, a new routine, a new obsession in the London Olympics, and a new rhythm. It’s funny how much can change in just a few days. One minute every single thing is blistering heat, and the next, you’re caught in a hailstorm. At least after the rain, there’s always a breathe of relief.
