The day after my birthday has always meant one thing to me — the winding down of summer. It’s been a hectic, crazy summer too, one that I started off with a new job and along the way got LASIK, a new routine, a new obsession in the London Olympics, and a new rhythm. It’s funny how much can change in just a few days. One minute every single thing is blistering heat, and the next, you’re caught in a hailstorm. At least after the rain, there’s always a breathe of relief.

thatluciegirl: K spotted me in Fab Sugar! (Photo by Melodie Jeng, who I had bumped into that day while coming out of a long meeting at work. I had actually bought that necklace on the street on my way to my first meeting that morning because the one I had put on had broke!) Cool. Thanks for the post and notifying me, Lucie. Who would have known when they posted it : ) I shot Lucie a little while ago here as well. I was on a street style shooting spree that day for Fab Sugar and Lucie just suddenly appeared. I had to take her photo. I like stories about people’s days and outfits like above. Lucie Zhang on Lafayette Street (Astor Place) Lucie wears a mixture of an H&M top, Urban Outfitters Shorts, a bag from Anthropologie, and shoes by Steve Madden. She has a Timex watch and sports bracelets from Madewell and bracelets that were made by her roommate.  Lucie is also “thatluciegirl” on Tumblr. She posts some great stuff.  Check it out here.
