Beautiful Kendra Spears (Next Models) outside the tents NYFW FW12
Kendra has a great smile and personality. I think she’s got an all-American feel on the outside but then you see her work and how much of a great model she is. I really love her classic look in the Emporio Armani S/S 12 campaign (click to see) but especially in the “Two for the Road” editorial by Will Davidson in the September 2011 issue of Harper’s Bazaar Australia with Karlie Kloss on the cover. See the story here. I’m so glad I have a copy of the magazine! I think she exudes a versatile, timeless beauty here. She’s also got a sleek, sexy side to her recent editorial “Autofocus” by Rene Habermacher in Numero May 2012. Kendra has the personality and the looks and I’m sure she’s here to stay. 1. Making of Valentino SS12 Ad with Photographer Deborah Turbeville, Models Fei Fei Sun, Zuzanna Bijoch, Maud Welzen, Clement Chabernaud, Bette Franke
- I am obsessed with this and the campaign! I keep on forgetting it’s a “making of’ film, I think it could almost stand alone as the campaign film if Valentino wanted to start making them. I’m curious who directed it and composed the music. The girl’s poses are so soft and perfect - I love how it is about the fleeting moments and this comes across in the photos as well. Deborah Turbeville is an amazing photographer. I want to work for her. I love the casting - beautiful, clean faces, a nice asian girl taking the lead subtly - love Fei Fei’s last glance and smile. Zuzanna looks really great, in most runways I feel like she has a more defined face than Maud and Bette who are very soft, Dutch, blonde (maybe it’s just because she’s brunette) but the makeup, hair, and styling here is great and the girls all flow together but look great individually. This succeeds - I want to be a Valentino girl/woman. I literally listen to this everyday if I need relax or focus.

Bumped into Argentine model Cecilia Mendez at Next Models and her boyfriend, fashion photographer, Diego Zuko on the L train today. We were all going to the Williamsburg Flea Market.
Her pants are from Argentina, her jacket is Ralph Lauren and her purse is Marc By Marc Jacobs.
Both Cecilia and Diego are super sweet and she looks so great despite the gross humidity today. Check out their work, both are very talented.
