STILLIST MOMENTS

Here is a portrait / editorial story I shot for PHILOSOPHY Magazine based out of Hungarian and edited (editor-in-chief) by young model Eszter Boldov. I photographed four Hungarian models in their homes during the FW14 fashion season in New York. London, Milan, and Paris. Also check out my backstage reportage images in “Changes in the System”

You can read the magazine online at http://philosophy-magazine.com/

During New York Fashion Week, I tried out the Photo App WERYOO

It’s a photo-sharing app where you can organize your photos by location and see other trending photos near you. You can also edit your images in Weryoo.

Check out my images above and visit the website for more information.

Thanks for this opportunity!

It’s been a nice surprise to see some of my images on Business of Fashion. It’s one of the best and only websites out there that discusses the BOF. I really respect it. Please read my good friend Isaac Hindin-Miller’s article on Pitti Uomo. My image was also included in his story about London Collections: Men, and the separate story about Public School and Eugene Tong.
Thank you BOF!
Have a great weekend,

Winning with my @shipley_halmos x @CFDA high tech bracelet (which doubles as a USB cord)… It’s all for charity, read about it on www.isaaclikes.com! @ebay_fashion @ebayelectronics

Check out some photos I took for Isaac! He’s super cool. I really enjoy his blog - he writes about fashion, not-fashion (men & women), life, and answers your relationship questions on Tumblr. He’s a great writer, super chill (Kiwi!), funny, and unpretentious. It’s cool to see life from his perspective.
Expect more photos!
Thanks again Isaac. These photos are for a project Ebay Fashion is doing with Shipley & Halmos and CFDA. The proceeds go to various charities, etc. Read more on  www.isaaclikes.com

I had the honor of getting in touch and collaborating with one of the most well-known photographers in the street style photography movement, Melodie Jeng. Melodie runs her own website, thenycstreets.com, which features hundreds of shots she took of people on the streets of NYC and around the world. Her list of people she has shot on the streets include fashion giants such as Marc Jacobs, Nick Wooster, well known bloggers such as Travis Gumbs and Joshua Kissi of Street Etiquette, and many more familiar faces in the industry. Melodie also works for Details.com/Details Magazine and Models.com. Her resume is an extremely impressive one, which is why I was honored when I was told by her that The Calderwood Project looks great and she’d love to be featured.

When I asked Melodie to describe her personal photography style, this is what she had to say : The way I approach my photography is that it’s a way to learn. I’m always trying to learn. I started taking street portraits because I wanted to learn about other people and practice interacting with my subjects. I’d like to think my photographs are curious — a lot of them have become photographs from fashion week with popular figures in fashion, but I also try to keep it real, genuine. The people might not necessarily being wearing the flashiest or most expensive outfits. Ultimately, I want to capture people that are comfortable in their skin (and clothes, basically a second layer). I want the photos to be honest portrayals of them, or at least honest portrayals of them through my eyes. I do love clothes, but I also love faces and beauty. Ultimately, I think of my self as making quick, beautiful portraits in various environments.”
