Weekend-Wear II: Stripes
I’ve seen this shirt somewhere … I always love the classic nautical top but I need to mix it up with a dash of red. See the red in my previous post? Red always makes me feel happy and bold. I also really liked the fact that the unrelated woman in front of her was wearing similar stripes as well!
I’ve got a few “weekend wear” snaps coming up - I’m excited!

Lucie Zhang on Lafayette Street (Astor Place)
Lucie wears a mixture of an H&M top, Urban Outfitters Shorts, a bag from Anthropologie, and shoes by Steve Madden. She has a Timex watch and sports bracelets from Madewell and bracelets that were made by her roommate.

A cool simple bike neutral ”Street Style” snapshot off Astor Place the other day
I didn’t even see her bow tie scarf/neckwear until afterwards - awesome
I just like how simple this is - I love beige and gray on people and primary colors on (vintage) bikes! I think I’ve said this a lot but I detest the ostentatiousness of “fashion” sometimes. I just like clothes. I like to study what people wear, present people of New York, and hopefully flatter them a bit and make them happy! Etc, etc, etc. The best is when someone is comfortable with themselves and what they wear because it makes them happy - confident - literally comfortable - and they walk around and have a good day : )
Her bag reminds me this Chloe bag but isn’t quite it. I’m sure the one she has is more affordable (?). If anybody knows who it is by, let me know!

A little out of my element - Paige on 2nd Avenue
Paige is a dominatrix and pinup model who had just gotten back from long flight from Japan but it doesn’t look like it, right?
It’s not my style but I always like red and black. She was really bubbly and nice and I think she dresses really well for her body. She’s a good model and knows how to present herself in public.
This is nothing against her personally but I prefer people to stand straight with their arm’s at their side or whatever pose they were in before I asked to take their photo because the way they were standing unconsciously not knowing a camera pointed at them is what I’m really interested in. I didn’t really like her pose at first but after letting it sit a few days, I don’t mind - there are poses I like but I always want the subject to feel comfortable and that their photo represent themselves of course.
Neysha on Bond Street
Wearing a mixture of her friend’s Brixton hat, Top Shop men’s chinos, Top Shop boutique leather jacket, thrifted boots, ebay shirt, etc. She works at Topshop and mixed in pieces from the men and women’s section with thrift and ebay pieces! Comfortable but a little bit bada*s : )
