Street Style: The Willamsburg Musician
Company Girl: Yara Flinn, of Nomia
Meet Yara Flinn, a designer for her own line called Nomia. A lover of music, she told Rolling Stone she listened to Grimes, A.R & Machines, Elite Gymnastics, Burial and Zomby for a little inspiration while creating her 2012 collection. The Inside Source caught up with Yara on a post-winter day with the new sun just to snap her outfit of the day.
Jacket: Nomia | Shirt & Jeans: Uniqlo | Shoes: Converse | Rings: Vintage

This is me, Fariha Roisin.
Melodie Jeng of the wonderful blog “THE NYC STREETS” took some shots of me a couple of weeks ago (when the weather was still warm) here are some of the shots.
This is me, Melodie Jeng.
Here is Fariha. She’s beautiful. She’s also an amazing writer! Follow her on Tumblr.

Heather works in the Visual department at Ralph Lauren (mostly the new amazing flagship mansion store at 888 Madison Avenue)
Bag - Ralph Lauren
Top - Neal Mello from The Bakery vintage store in Brooklyn.
Not sure about the hat and jeans but probably also vintage.
She is inspired by vintage clothing, ethnic pieces. Her style icons are Erin Wasson, Janice Joplin, and Jimi Hendrix.
@bkflea I like things in threes - the three different textures, patterns, and prints of her top, jeans, and shoes. I often don’t really like high/mid-waisted jeans like that just too try-hard-hipster, awkward, old lady ish (not in a chic or fashionable way) and your butt just looks weird! But it works for her. Maybe because it’s cropped. She didn’t seem particularly conscious about the way she dressed and was a bit taken aback when I asked for her photo. I’m not 100% sure about her and she’s not really sure about me but for the most part, it works. I think it’s just the shoes are new to me, I like her top, and her legs are pretty long.
Also, I saw a lot of sunglasses at BKFlea despite it being weird a muggy. I also saw a billion nautical stripes once I boarded the L train from 1st avenue to Brooklyn. Oh, Williamsburg. Anyway, more posts on the queue.

Asymmetrical dress line and simple black at the Williamsburg Flea Market
Fall is creeping on us. She’s got boots on and with a humid-day-type of dress (because it was). I busted out my classic brown riding boots yesterday. I’ve repaired and resoled them at least three times in three countries. I think I might have to get new ones after this season. Suggestions?
Carmen is staying in New York for the summer. She is on holiday (hehe, British English) and interning at Fuse Gallery. She is studying Photography at London College of Communications.
I liked her black socks under her Vans. Her dress is Kate Moss for Topshop. Her bag is from American Apparel.
She described New York Style (from what she’s seen in the Williamsburg area) as “very 80’s rock” and similar to London style. She prefers vintage markets.

Cecilia @ Next
Bumped into Argentine model Cecilia Mendez at Next Models and her boyfriend, fashion photographer, Diego Zuko on the L train today. We were all going to the Williamsburg Flea Market.
Her pants are from Argentina, her jacket is Ralph Lauren and her purse is Marc By Marc Jacobs.
Both Cecilia and Diego are super sweet and she looks so great despite the gross humidity today. Check out their work, both are very talented.
Gracias! xx
