Tim Hamilton Redux FW 12
First night of NYFW/MADE at Milk Studios on February 9
This was such a fun night at Milk Studios. There were several presentations going on simultaneously - Tim Hamilton Redux, Erickson Beamon, M. Patmos, John Bartlett, Libertine, etc. There was great energy on the 8th floor of Milk Studios - the models weren’t afraid to jump around, dance, and have fun with the presentation. There was music, drinks, and the presentation felt more like a fun party with beautiful and colorful people and clothes than a presentation which was a nice way to end the first night of fashion week (before the real parties …) There were also women in the presentation but I didn’t capture them as much. There wasn’t a huge difference in the menswear and womensear, they were the same idea just suited for each gender. I would love to wear everything at this presentation and now associate it with a lot of good feelings and fun! As far as I know, Tim usually shows his mainline and inserts some pieces from Redux (his lower-priced line) but this year, he showed only Redux.

Beautiful Kendra Spears (Next Models) outside the tents NYFW FW12
Kendra has a great smile and personality. I think she’s got an all-American feel on the outside but then you see her work and how much of a great model she is. I really love her classic look in the Emporio Armani S/S 12 campaign (click to see) but especially in the “Two for the Road” editorial by Will Davidson in the September 2011 issue of Harper’s Bazaar Australia with Karlie Kloss on the cover. See the story here. I’m so glad I have a copy of the magazine! I think she exudes a versatile, timeless beauty here. She’s also got a sleek, sexy side to her recent editorial “Autofocus” by Rene Habermacher in Numero May 2012. Kendra has the personality and the looks and I’m sure she’s here to stay. A cool simple bike neutral ”Street Style” snapshot off Astor Place the other day
I didn’t even see her bow tie scarf/neckwear until afterwards - awesome
I just like how simple this is - I love beige and gray on people and primary colors on (vintage) bikes! I think I’ve said this a lot but I detest the ostentatiousness of “fashion” sometimes. I just like clothes. I like to study what people wear, present people of New York, and hopefully flatter them a bit and make them happy! Etc, etc, etc. The best is when someone is comfortable with themselves and what they wear because it makes them happy - confident - literally comfortable - and they walk around and have a good day : )
Her bag reminds me this Chloe bag but isn’t quite it. I’m sure the one she has is more affordable (?). If anybody knows who it is by, let me know!
